Yucheng “Johnny” Wang (he/him/his) returns to the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center as a staff attorney in November 2019. Mr. Wang graduated from the George Mason University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree under the immigration concentration in 2018. Following that, he worked at Just Neighbors in Annandale, VA as a legal fellow from September 2018 to August 2019. At Just Neighbors, Mr. Wang was the lead attorney on Deferred Actions on Childhood Arrival (DACA) cases. After his fellowship ended, Mr. Wang briefly worked at Immigrants First, PLLC. in Manassas, VA as an associate attorney focusing on removal defense. While in law school, Mr. Wang was a legal intern at Just Neighbors from spring 2016 to spring 2017 and Shuford Immigration Law, PLLC. in Alexandria, VA in fall 2017. Additionally, Mr. Wang was a legal intern with the APALRC during the summer of 2017 and a legal volunteer during the spring of 2018. Mr. Wang is an immigrant himself and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. Mr. Wang is a proud member of the LGBT+ community. Mr. Wang is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
