We are happy to share with you that we have raised over $41,000 through sponsorships, individual donations and pledges, and ticket sales at the event.
In addition, we have a great opportunity to double your impact in the next three months with a very generous commitment from APALRC's co-founder, John C. Yang, and his wife, Esther H. Lim. Through the Challenge Grant, every individual donation of $100 or more will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000. So, please help us reach that goal by September 30, 2011 by making your MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION HERE TODAY!
• A commitment of $10 per month, less than one movie ticket a month, would pay for vital interpretation at three client meetings with domestic violence survivors.
• A commitment of $15 per month, less than a price for dinner in D.C. a month, would pay for more than 1,000 translated brochures about tenants' rights in the Washington metropolitan area.
• A commitment of $25 per month, less than a tank of gas a month, would provide food for focus groups and community workshops with seniors and youth for a whole year.
• A commitment of $50 per month, less than the most mobile telephone bills a month, would support the stipend for a bilingual organizing intern or law clerk for the full summer.
• A commitment of $100 per month, less than a price of the golf membership a month, would pay for more than 2,500 mailings to advise crime victims of their rights to compensation.
If you have thought about making a small adjustment in your monthly spending to make an enormous impact on someone's life in your community, please show them your support today.
Thank you!
